A sigh of relief

A couple of weeks ago an non-sewing friend of mine asked me if I would make her a quilted cover for her mix-master.    Off I goes to her house with my trusty tape measure to measure up.

I sent her off to the shop to purchase the required amount of fabric with the instruction to come back with a 100% cotton fabric with a non-directional print and this is what she chose.

Now this was my first mix-master cover so there was plenty of measuring, re-measuring, pattern drafting and a mock up of the cover made with a  "mix- master fitting" which resulted in more re-measuring before the final cut was made.

Time to quilt the lines

The photo below shows the side panels all quilted and trimmed.

And here is her mix-master wearing it new cover.

She was delighted with the result and I was relieved that it fitted like a glove.

Back soon and in the meantime

Happy sewing all

  2. Hi Karen! Wow, the new cover fits just great. I don't have my mixer sitting out as I rarely use it, but I would love to make a cover for my toaster or even one of my sewing machines that doesn't get used very often. I'll bet your friend is just tickled pink (or red) with the outcome! ~smile~ Roseanne
