Hubs and I enjoyed a Christmas in July lunch today with all the trimmings
Including plum pudding with hot custard to follow
Just the thing for a wet, cold and miserable day. As you can see the surf is really up and pounding
Not much of the beach can be seen.
I did finish off the mini Christmas stockings before we left home today.
And picked out the fabrics to make more bowl cosies for my stall.
I finished reading this book last night and was two minds about whether or not to finish it at the start but it did pick up and ended up being a good read so I was glad that I stuck with it.
Two more beanies were finished off during the week. These are a good "while you are watching tv of a night" project.
Time to head off for coffee and then make a start on cutting out the wadding for the bowl cosies.
Back soon and in the meantime
Happy sewing all
A good day for Christmas in July.

ReplyDeleteCute mini stockings and lovely fabrics for the bowl cosies…
Nice beanies.
Christmas in July is the perfect excuse for a nice hot dinner with all the trimmings. The weather certainly has been wild down your way. More cute beanies and your stall will be well stocked.
ReplyDeletePerfect weather for cute beanies....how nice does your Christmas lunch look.... yummo
ReplyDeleteYummo! It looked the perfect thing for a miserable day! Lots of lovely projects happening. Love it when a slow start to a book ends up being enjoyable xx
ReplyDeleteI have never really understood Christmas in July but it looks like you enjoyed it. Love your stockings. Some books don't really have that hook at first but slowly pick up. Some I have just put down and never bothered reading after 2 or 3 chapters which is really annoying when you buy a book. It only ends up at an Op Shop. More cosey beanies.
ReplyDeleteyou are such a busy gal...and thanks for the ocean pix...love 'em!
