More orders

While finishing up the purple and white bowl cosy with matching hand towel

Another order came in for 2 heat packs.

As well as an order for a blue and white spots (to match the bowl cosy previously ordered) plate cosy and a blue and white heat pack along with another plate cosy and heat pack made with the fabric to match the bowl cosy that the person doing the ordering bought at my stall.  Fortunately I have plenty of that bird fabric left.

It  looks like a few wet days ahead of us so time will be spent in the sewing room working of these.

Off to the cutting bench.

FNSI

Was on again last night and perfect timing to finish off the blue and white bowl cosy that was ordered at my stall last week.

Another order came in during the week for a purple and white bowl cosy along with a matching hanging kitchen towel.  This will be my priority in the sewing room during the week.

Time to make a start on the day, shopping to be done as well as a couple of domestics.

Mellow Yellow and an extra FNwF

This month's RSC colour is yellow.    After going through the yellow scrap basket this  potato chip block is the end result.

Next up are 5  yellow library bags that were made during the week

One yellow scrap bib

And one yellow and white beanie came off the knitting needles late yesterday afternoon.

When joining in with FNwF last night the squares were cut and laid out for another small quilt.

Thanks Cheryll for organising a second FNwF this week due to Cyclone Alfred knocking out the power over a wide area of SE Queensland and northern NSW last week.   You can see more crafty achievements over here.

Better get a move on as it is time to set up my stall downstairs soon.

My week in the sewing room and FNwF

My aim this week was to get out the yellow scrap basket and make a start on going through finding suitable fabrics for a yellow potato chip block.

Then it was onto finishing off 5 pot holders for my stall next week that have been sitting in the production line during the week.

During the week I also finished off a pink beanie that had been ordered.

And  packed up 3 hot packs that had been sewn and filled previously.

When joining in with the rest of the FNwF crafters last night the time was spent getting ready  for my stall next week - items packed, float organised - yes cash is essential - and price list printed.      It is a very big community event so hopefully this weather system north of us behaves itself, moves away and does not come down any further south.   In the meantime our thoughts are with those who are in the path of such destruction.
