FNwF finishes

Not a great start to the day.    I had planned on doing some gardening first up and then updating my blog followed by sewing.    I woke this morning around 6 am to  the sound of wind and rain.   Not ideal to get out in the garden so onto Plan B which involved a bit of a lie in, breakfast, doing some housework and then updating my blog.     Up and out of bed to find that there was no power - no power means only cereal for breakfast.    Downed the cereal and was feeling slightly hungry and definitely in need of coffee  but what can you do with an all electric house.     By this time the rain had cleared so out into the garden for some weed pulling - they did pull out very easily after the rain. After an hour of general tidying up in the garden the power was back on.   YEAH - inside for the remainder of breakfast -  coffee and toast - followed by a hot shower.     Bliss.

Back on track now and able to update my blog and show you some photos of my sewing from last night.    Firstly my brown/pinkish 9 patch  blocks all sewn up but in need of a good pressing and trimming up.  That will be my first job after lunch

And the bucket hat for Miss M.   I decided to go with the pink as the main fabric and the owls for the lining.

If you would like to see what the other FNwF got up to follow me over here and we can see together.

Heading back to my sewing room to make a start on the pants that I cut out yesterday and in the meantime
Happy sewing all

Wow you had a very productive day/night. The 9 patch looks great and the bucket hat is just so sweet.

Beautiful hat! That is so cute as well as practical. Sorry to hear about your power issue. We used to have that when we lived in the mountains. I'd have a moment where I couldn't sew, so I'd make a coffee, then realise, do decide to watch to, or do the washing or go on the computer.., it would take a few minutes for my brain to actually get in gear! Lol Nice idea with the patches. I have a basket of 2" squares by my machine (leftovers from my scrappy Quilting Mouse) which I sew bit by bit to avoid cutting threads wastage. It will be a something one day.

Glad the power came back in so you could get into your sewing room. Love the little hat, what a lovely pattern and colours.
