Done and dusted

I put  the last stitch in the blue and white bedrunner late yesterday afternoon and was able to run about between showers of heavy rain and get a quick photo of it hanging on the clothesline.

I am very pleased with the result and it will be my "show and tell" at quilt group tomorrow.    Some of these blocks were made by other members of my quilting group so they will be able to see how their blocks ended up.

I also had time to sew my hot pink 9 patch blocks together as can be seen below

I had to  have a little look at all of my pretty rainbow blocks before storing these ones away.

It never ceases to amaze me at how good all those little bits of scrap fabric look  when sewn together.

It is time to get myself organised for a quilting retreat that I am going on in two weeks time.     I have been giving it some thought  to what I would like to do and my mind keeps wandering back to black, white, grey and pink.    Being another wet day it is a good excuse to go and have a play with my stash and see what I can come up with along those lines.

Linking with Oh Scrap and Red Letter Quilts - OMG for July.

Back soon and in the meantime

Happy sewing all

Now I'm wondering where those 9-patches are going to show up in a quilt. I can see you are creative and clever in block placement!

How nice to have contributions from your friends in the bed runner. Love the blue and white. BTW, my post is acting weird, just hit the Home button and it will show up.,
