Spring is in the air.....

The garden is just bursting with colour at the moment as the air warms up with the extra hours of sunshine.   My lavender is starting to flower

As is the fragrant jasmine which is just outside the backdoor and smells delightful

You can always rely on  daisies to produce many flowers over a long period of time

And the azaleas are just gorgeous at present even though they were given a big cutback last year after flowering

I was able to get sometime to sew my claret to pink with a touch of gold 9 patch rainbow blocks for September  and they are now waiting patiently with all my other  rainbow blocks to be sewn together in what should form a very colourful quilt.

There is  1 more colour to be announced next month and then there is a 2 month time frame to complete our quilts.

Linking with So Scrappy  and Oh Scrap for September

Back soon with some photos of circles which have been inspired by this lovely spring weather and some summer sewing for Miss M and in the meantime

  Happy sewing all

And here, we are rounding the corner into Autumn...the only thing left blooming is my Autumn Clematis--and it is surely HOT and HUMID...anxiously awaiting some cooler days...I like that claret with the white/gold--very pretty mix...I am stuck with figuring a teen boy's quilt (Connor my grandson) whose favorite color is RED--pondering....hugs, Julierose

Thank you for the colorful spring pictures...much needed here as leaves are beginning to drop here. And you have a great range from white through rose to red.

It is so lovely in your garden. We are having a burst of late flowering things like asters, same color as your daisies. Your patch block is very lively with all the tones and I loved seeing a rose garden in there, perfect. Nice meeting you, Karen.

oh! I've been doing soscrappy for a couple of years and didn't realize she stops with the colors in October and we are expected to have a completed quilt with them at the end of the year? Oops!
