Not much time has been spent in the sewing room this week however all of the 192 x 4" squares for the HST sampler quilt are now cut and two of the blocks are together.
Last night when joining Wendy and the other crafters for FNSI a start was made on the third block.
I have to say that making these blocks is quite time consuming so progress is on the slow side - lots of trimming and pressing is needed to get sharp points.
Don't forget to see what everyone else got up to last night here.

Great blocks Karen. Happy weekend!
Trimming HST blocks is time consuming, but oh so worth it. I’m looking forward to seeing your quilt evolve.
Your blocks look great but I can imagine they are time consuming....

The blocks look great and love the colour combinations.
The colours looks so crisp and fresh together.
HST's are a lot of work but it's worth the extra pressing and trimming for the result... I love your colours... it's going to be gorgeous
Hugz
I'm sure it's worth the extra time to iron and trim them down because your blocks are very precise. That's going to be a wondeful quilt.
The blocks are looking great! They look perfect! xx
I love the effect of HSTs and enjoy making items using them but have to agree they are very time consuming.
Your blocks look great. I really like the star block. That's a lot of squares to cut. So glad you finished them. It will help to have them cut when you're ready to sew.
Great job. Prep work is half the battle sometimes, isn't it? I'm sure those points will be perfect!
The colors are fantastic!
