Snap top or zip is what I debated with for a couple of days until the decision was finally made to go with a snap top.
After making an early start on sewing yesterday and finishing off the pouch it was time to put on the walking shoes and head on outside into the brilliant sunshine. August is the month that the wildflowers seem to be at their best in Sydney and these are a few that I saw on my walk.
These purple flowers below remind me of butterflies
The grevillea bush below is often visited by native birds
You always smell the wattle before you see it.
I was quick enough to catch this water dragon having a sunbake in a sheltered spot near the waterfall.
Next book in the pile to read
Don't forget to hop on over to Wendy's blog to see what else happened during FNwF.
Back soon and in the meantime
Happy sewing all

It's a great looking pouch. Lovely flowers on your walk. Its meant to be a glorious weekend too.
Your pouch turned out well. Did you have a snap closure, or did you use an old tape measure? You are so fortunate to have such a pretty walk close by. We’d hoed to travel out west to see some wild flowers again this spring, but I think that will have to wait for another year. Mick had been reading lots, but has just about run out of books. He may have to try an Ebook.
This is a lovely time of the year - not too hot (yet) - nice to see your local flowers.... very sad about your extended lockdown...
Snappy puches are so easy to amke/use!
Great to have finally decided on the snap closure for the pouch.
Lovely garden to enjoy for your walks …
Looks like a good read there.
the pouch looks good......nice spot to walk to see all those flowers.......
Great snap closure, and lovely walk for you.... settle in for a long time it seems....

Wonderful pouch, and a great walk, always good to be able to spot different things when you are out. We have had lockdown for so long now it seems normal which is a worry!!!
