FNwF

I am glad that Cheryll postponed FNwF for another week as the last couple of weeks have been busy catching up with family and friends before, over and after the Easter break.

As a consequence of all this socialising and catching up not much has been happening in the sewing room.  I did however get an order for 4 bibs for a baby girl.    They were delivered yesterday.

I also had an order last week for a couple of heat packs which I filled last night while joining in with FNwF.

Now that the weather is cooling down it is time to pick up the knitting needles and back to beanies. These three have been worked on and off over a period of a couple of weeks.   Notice no red yard in sight.

My latest audio book that is keeping me company in the sewing room is Anne of Green Gables.

I  heard this book being discussed recently and do not have any recollection of reading it as a child.   I remember quite clearly reading the Heidi books, Little Women and many other classics but not Anne of Green Gables.

This is the pile of books that are waiting to be read at bedtime.

I am looking forward to starting the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency as I really enjoyed watching this series many years ago when it was on tv.

It is starting off a lovely clear sunny morning here -  a rare event these days as we have had quite a lot of rain over the past few weeks so I am going to head off for the day and take advantage of the sunshine while it is around.

Back soon and in the meantime

 Happy sewing all

I read Anne of Green Gables as a teenager and have read the series I own so many times. I also have all the DVD's of the TV series and the TV series picture book. After Gone with the Wind this has to be my fav read.

That's odd because I too never read Anne of Green Gables - still havn't - but have read the others you mention and other classics. Nice work on all your projects. xx

It’s good you still got a bit of stitching done in your busy times. I have all the Anne books, owned by my Mum and Aunt in the 1930s but have only ever read the first one, many years ago. I will read them ….. one day.

lovely sewing... do you manage to get wheat for the heat bags? I adored Anne of GG as a child. You have a lovely pile of books there... Can you recommend an easy adult beanie pattern by any chance? I have had a request by a son.

Beautiful projects there. I remember watching the Anne of Green Gables tv series when I was young. Possibly on a Saturday morning (when all of the best kids tv shows were on). Hope you have a lovely week :)

It looks to me like despite socializing you got quite a bit done! Those bibs are darling. The heat packs are always popular when it's cold and your knitted hats are lovely. I watched Anne of Green Gables as an adult. I don't remember ever hearing about it as a child either. I love The No. 1 Ladies Detective series....so good! Enjoy your day!

Lovely bibs. I had to chuckle when i saw your beanie photo & the comment. Love the beanies. Love Anne Of Green Gables. Many years ago i bought the entire series on dvd but they now won't play. I guess they don't like the dvd player i now have. The discs weren't damaged in any way so i don't know why they won't work as i'd really love to watch them again. :(
