I love the bag pattern that I drew up at the quilting weekend and I use the bag all the time when I go shopping. It is a good size and holds my wallet, keys, bottle of water, sunnies, reading glasses, mobile phone and all the other bits and pieces. Best of all it is lightweight - before all the above has been added - and it is easy to find everything as it has 2 inside pockets and a smaller one on the outside.

I decided to make a couple for family and friends for Christmas gifts. The funky cat 1 was for my DIL.

The green fruit and floral was for a friend

The aqua and brown one for my SIL

And the red one was for my mother. I tried to pick fabrics that reflected their tastes and interests and they all told me they loved their personalised bags.

I love these bags you have done Karen and I am going to do a couple for a friend of mine and my dh's Auntie. She loves to knit and I reckon this will be just the thing for her. I like that fabrics you have chosen too.

DIL here - I love my bag! I can stuff my current knitting project in one pocket, sunnies in the other, add a book and my lunch bag and I'm all set for work.

Karen I love those fish! They are brilliant. You certainly have been busy with the bag pattern. Great effort.
