To the Dark Side

Yesterday saw the end of my "home quilting retreat" and I spent what time I had separating each colour group of sewn squares from the long chain and ironing them to the dark side.

My goal for July was to hopefully show you many completed blocks but this is as far as I got.

Progress report on hubs is good.  He only has to attend hospital 3 times a week for re-dressing of his foot starting from today and he can now drive himself again.

I have a confession to make....I was not as restrained with the  bar of chocolate as I would have normally been and this is what was left by the time I finished the ironing part.

Back soon and in the meantime

Happy sewing all

While you may not have made as much progress as hoped, you did move forward! And you had chocolate, so it's all good.

Ahaha I see what you meant in your reply about your restraint! Still impressed you had some left. Glad hubby is progressing, and you have managed to progress with your sewing yourself, even with being very busy x

Yum chocolate! Never thought of it as an inducement to iron but I see the benefit of it!

Wishing good health and a speedy recovery to your husband. And if you need chocolate to cope, so be it. Love dark chocolate myself :-)

Chocolate releases endorphins or something and so it's great for stress. Whenever my younger son is stressing me, I get through it with chocolate and 5 pounds I have to lose when he isn't. LOL I'm so glad to hear the good news about your husband's foot.
