Needless to say that sewing was put on the backburner however I did manage to sneak away while one of the nurses was with him for 2 hours today. So far I have hopefully managed to cut enough coloured and white squares together with black and white strips to give me a good start at the quilting retreat next week. My attending will entirely depend on the patient's progress this week so fingers and toes crossed for a speedy recovery.
Once my little squares were all piled up neatly and in order I went on to have play with some fabric
The plan is to get these cut and maybe even sewn up over the weekend but I am happy that I was at least able to achieve what I did today for FNSI.
Back soon and in the meantime
Happy
sewing all

Oh sending prayers and hope for your hubby's speedy recuperation... What a scare you must have had, the both of you!! The last 3years have included many late night ambulance rides and 3 surgeries for my hubby, so I totally get what you are going through...it is tough. Hang in there--happy you have your sewing to calm your own self down. Best wishes, hugs, Julierose
Hope Hubs is ok again real soon
Good that you got a little sewing done
Sewing has been my salvation in the past
Sorry to hear about your poor hubby. I hope he is on the mend soon. I have spent many days and hours in the emergency dept and wards over the years with my hubby and back a couple of months ago. I never have enough light to sit and stitch there . Glad you found a couple of hours to yourself. Early morning ambulance and hospital visits are no fun.
Oh so sorry to hear what your husband has been through hope he is recovering well. What would we do with our sewing to distract us.
Positive thoughts going out for your hubby and a hug for you.
Well, that was certainly a scary start to your week. Glad you managed to get a little sewing in. We quilters actually need to fit a little time in to relieve stress and I'm sure your stress levels were off the chart. Your projects have such beautiful colors. I hope that hubby continues to improve and that you'll be able to escape to your retreat.
Wishing your husband a speedy recovery x
