Scrap Bag Challenge

The ladies at my Saturday quilting group have been given a challenge - fill a plastic bag 15" x 10" with your unwanted scraps bring it to quilting, place it in a box then we blindly take out another bag.    I was lucky enough to pick out a bag containing out these fabrics.

Whilst there is not enough fabric to make a quilt they are reasonably good sized pieces - smaller than a fat quarter but bigger than a fat 1/8".   The three pieces at the bottom of the photo are not as big as the other pieces but maybe they could be used somewhere so they will not end up in the scrap basket just yet.

Now what to make - it can be anything from a pincushion to???????  We have until our July meeting when show and tell will be held.

Back soon and in the meantime

Happy sewing all

You picked up a lucky bag. Some gorgeous blues in that bundle. Maybe a lovely table runner or cushions for your new home?

Whata fun idea! We did a challenge with 3 Fat Quarters and that was hard! But actually your guild scrap challenge is something I do often with my scraps. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

What a fun challenge. Your fabrics tone nicely together with that extra pop of colour. I’m sure you will make something stunning with them.
