Today my two walking companions and I hopped on a Manly ferry to travel into the City
The tree’s 800 branches are dressed with 15,000 flowers representing 9 different kinds of Australian flowers: banksia, waratah, bottlebrush, wattle, eucalyptus gum flower, kangaroo paw, flannel flower, pink wax flower and white wax flower.
We then walked along George Street to the Strand Arcade which never fails to impress.
We then headed to see the DJ's windows which were a major disappointment to all three of us as we remember them as being magical when we were children. We were also disappointed with the tree in the Queen Victoria building as well. No where near as spectacular as previous years.
All in all we enjoyed our day wandering around the City seeing her dressed up for the coming festive season.
Back soon and in the meantime
Happy sewing all

Such lovely Christmas decorations. It sounds like a lovely day seeing all of the festive displays.
Still some lovely decorations and a great day out with friends.
At least you went out and enjoyed with friends
very nice sewing projects and waltz length? haven't heard that term in quite a long time...dating yourself gal...LOL!
Lots of lovely trees and decorations there Karen.
So pretty. I'll bet even more spectacular at night when all lit up.
I love seeing the city all dressed up for Christmas. If the planets align Mick and I May hop on the train and have a day looking at them be all. Are the DJs ones the same as when we were kids and just older or different?
