You know Summer is on its way.....

When the streets of Sydney are awash with  gorgeous purple jacaranda trees.

This annual show never fails to impress me.

In keeping with all this purple the first pair of shorts for Miss M  - purple of course - were cut out and put through the overlocker which is what was achieved during FNSI.

During the week I caught the ferry into the City and passed alongside the Queen Elizabeth which was docked at Circular Quay.  I have a friend and her husband who were boarding the ship on Tuesday for a 28 day cruise around Australia.

I missed seeing the movie "The Dry" when it was showing at the begining of last year and had heard that it was very good so when I saw the book in the library it was grabbed and checked out.    I am about 3/4 the way through the book and still no clue as to what happened all those years ago and if the current deaths were a murder/suicide or there was foul play.

I have not read a Jane Harper book before but will definitely put her name on my future reading list.

Two more red beanies completed and another one started.

Time to head off and check out some other blogs.

Back soon and in the meantime

Happy sewing all

Gorgeous trees! I don't think I've seen pics of spring in Sydney before, so thank you!

Youve had a busy week. The Jacaranda's are looking so good here too - they must have enjoyed having rain last year.

Very pretty streets. I hope your friends aren't on a Covid cruise like a couple of oth er ships that have docked in Sydney and Melbourne recently. You have been very productive as usual. Well done! The Dry is on one or 2 streaming services if you have any. I am sure I watched it on one a while ago.

Beautiful blooms on the Jacaranda trees. I've tried to grow then but no luck.
When is your red ball of wool going to run out.

Those jacarandahs looks so pretty and there are quite a few streets of them in Adelaide too. Had to laugh at your heading about summer being on the way, as it feels just like winter here this month, not sure what happened to spring?

I didn't realize the QE ship was still in operation. My aunt cruised on the QE2 years ago. That must have been awesome to see -- so big! Great job on the beanies and I enjoyed a Jane Harper book earlier this year. Can't remember which one I read though. Rats! Have a good week!
