The challenge was put out there to put pictures of our sewing rooms on our blogs so the following are photos of mine - overflowing rubbish bin and all. Firstly let me explain my room to you.
I was lucky enough about 18 years ago to have this area purposely built for me and when my son was about 15 he asked if he could move out of the main house and into the cabin and in a weak moment I said yes thinking that the novelty would last about a month or two and he would move out - not so - I gained my room back 8 years later when he married and left home. So here we go
Sewing machine table with overflowing rubbish bin close by
Bits and pieces cupboard which holds patterns, old sewing machine, magazines, laces, buttons, rulers, buttons and all other oddities. You can see the ironing board just on the side.
No lounging around here you cannot even get close to sit down and even if you did you have to share with fabric.
Half finished top for me.
You can see my star shaped quilt starting to happen
Crates of fabric stacked up and under the cutting table. If you look carefully you can also see some more pot holders in progress.
Thank you for taking the time to join me in my sewing room. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed having you here.

That has got to be the coolest sewing room! Karen's Kabin! Love your cat too...always purring and friendly!
I love your sewing room Karen and I wish I had it :) I have always wanted my own cabin like this. One day :) Thanks for showing us :)
Thank you for the fab tour of your wondeful sewing room. I have my eye on my son's detached granny flat when he moves out for a studio.
Hugs & Blessings

Thanks girls for your comments. Yes it is always left in a mess but who sees it.. only the mess maker .. me!! I am very lucky indeed to have my own space which I can just lock up and pick up where I left off.
Love it!! Must show it to DP, might give him ideas!!!
