It was an all out effort to get the big girl quilt finished as Miss M is coming over in a couple of weeks to stay for the weekend. On with the walking foot to do some outlining of the sails on the boat, the jetty, the waterline, around the lily pads and along the stems of the leaves. It was a lot of pushing and shoving in order to get the quilt through the harp and I have to admit that I do need to look very closely in order to see the quilting - not sure if that is a good or bad thing. I just did stitch in the ditch for each of the borders. Here is a close up of the panel
And the next photo shows borders
During the week hubs and I had a break away at the mountains and being this time of the year there was lots and lots of fog. Now you can see the cliffs
Now you cannot
A little cake and coffee to warm up with
Thanks
Wendy for hosting another fun night and the tropical theme was a complete contrast to the mountain weather and the rain which is now heading towards Sydney again.

Back soon and in the meantime
Happy

Karen, such a gorgeous quilt panel - I am sure that Miss M will love it. Ohh, how I love fog.
Lovely way to finish that panel. Miss M is very fortunate. Thanks for the photos of the cliffs - beautiful.
Absolutely precious quilt, I love it:)
My that cake looks lovely too, what a wonderful way to stay warm!
Gorgeous panel and I like the way you have picked up the colours for the borders. It is going to be a beautiful and much cherished quilt.
