Once suitable contrasting pieces were found I used the overlocker to join them to the original fabric and went from there. It was a bit fiddly making sure that the seams all lined up for when cutting the front and backs but as you can see I managed to cut out three and get them pinned ready for the overlocker.
Thanks Cheryll for organising us all again for FNwF. Looking forward to doing some blog hopping later on to catch up with everyone else.
Back soon and in the meantime
Happy

Well done on finding a solution. I'm sure the little girls will love their skirts.
The skirts will look lovely with the contrast...
Very resourceful!
well done with the adjustment for the skirts... you are more patient ... or is it determined??? than me...

Great effort, it slows you down when you have to find extra bits. Well done to get three done.
Great solution, a design opportunity! Well done.
Great job soldiering on even though the fabric was too small.
That was a bit of a set back to overcome. Well done.
