Chookshed Challenge No #1

Was to make a candle/tablemat for my quilt group Christmas in July challenge.  (Love it when two challenges collide) This was the fabric that we were given

Extra fabric could be used if required.   This fabric was added for the border

Here is the end result

And just to prove that all fabric given was used this is the back

More fabric squares were cut during the week for the next small quilt.

Time to head off to the doctor for my second shingles shot in the arm.   Ouch!!!!!!!

Back soon and in the meantime

Happy sewing all

Yes, ouch! I had my first a few weeks ago and am not looking forward to the second, had a really sore arm for several days. Hope you are OK. Lovely challenge finish and good to use up all the fabric. xx

You will be glad you got that shot. I had the shingles once and it was not fun. I got the shots after.

I wish to congratulate you on your challenge finishes!!

Those fabrics did provide you with a challenge. It lived up to its name. You did well. Mick can get his free shingles shot now and I have decided to bite the bullet and get it at the same time. I really didn’t need to hear that it is going to hurt. LOL. Oh well, better than the shingles.
