At the beginning of the month my March OMG was to make a start on the winter weight quilt for Miss M and yes I did make a start - today. Hubs is having a boy's day out which gave me the opportunity to iron all those pre-washed fabrics and cut them up. I have decided to go "simple" as I want the fabric to be the feature not the design. With that in mind I have fussy cut the fairy fabric into 6 1/2" squares for a 6" finish and I will be alternating the fairies with 4 patch blocks - these patches are cut at 3 1/2" each for 6" block finish.
If you would like to see what the other goals achieved during the month were pop on over to
Elm Street Quilts.
There are still a couple of days left in March and I am hoping to make a start on sewing the 4 patch blocks.
Back soon with some progress shots and in the meantime
Happy
sewing all

That is going to be a lovely quilt. I like your idea of having the fabrics as the feature rather than the design. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
It looks like you have a good start--your quilt is going to be charming!
sounds like a good quilt plan. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congratulations on your finish.

I love the fairy fabric! I always end up with big squared quilts because I love the material so much I don't want to cut it up small. Have fun! x
Good job getting started!
