Start with an 8" circle, fold in half, stitch, leave an opening to turn right side out, stitch all around the outside and by folding this way and that, give it a good press and sew some ribbon on to the top you end up with this. Very cute.
After that lesson we were shown how to take 5 5" squares of fabric, fold 4 of them in half, leave the 5th one unfolded as it is the base upon which to layer up the other ones on and turn them into coasters. This would the perfect project if you had some pretty charm squares lying around.
After my little deviation it is back to hexies. Good but slow progress is being made with over half left to stitch onto the background fabric then I can begin joining the blocks using QAYG method.

Back soon and in the meantime
Happy sewing all
Cute quick ideas there. Thanks for sharing.
Love the mini Christmas tree idea.....I don’t think I could make those, I have a heck of a time getting pointed corners just right. You do corners well!
