The finish line

It was an all out push to get the aprons finished this week - today to be exact - as I wanted to hand them over when I had afternoon tea tomorrow with the co-ordinator of the charity that they are headed for.

This is what 25 aprons look like.    I am pleased with the result and considering that the tablecloths were headed for the tip after one use it was a satisfying rescue mission.

I am a bit sick of looking at blue and white fabric so my next project involves pink tulle, white and fairy frost pink fabric.  More on that one later.

Now that the gale force chilly winds which have blown for the last 5 days have abated it was nice to be able to sit outside and do the easy task of cutting around some scrap fabrics with pinking shears to create some pretty tops to go onto the tops of jars of jam that one of the volunteers makes to sell at the hospital stall.

Back soon and in the meantime

Happy sewing all

That looks like a great load of 'washing' you have been doing Karen, really though, you have done a wonderful job and I have to agree with you it is criminal to think the tablecloths were going to be thrown out after one use. A job well done my friend.
