Last of the red scraps (for the moment)

Eight red library bags had their drawstring casings sewn during the week (the light has altered some of the reds making them pink and purple).

A red and white beanie was completed

Another small quilt was finished off - it has enough red in it to qualify for the RSC colour.

Some cutting of blocks was happening - taking advantage of the lovely weather by moving the cutting mat, rulers and fabric outside for a cutting session.

This audio book was keeping me company during the week.  A bit quirky but I had to listen to the end to
find out who was responsible for  the main character's death.

And of course we cannot ignore that the changing of the season is well under way with the decidious trees showing their vivid autumnal reds.

My "self imposed exile" is now finished and I am pleased with what was achieved in the sewing room during that time.    Next week life is back to normal - appointment at the hairdresser on Monday, my Tuesday quilting group starts back, shopping - other than a quick early morning dash into the supermarket that was happening for the last 2 weeks -  a bone density test, socialising with friends, craft afternoon on Thursday, the hospital auxiliary stall on Saturday, visiting my parents on Sunday and anything else that crops up.

                            So scrappy

Back soon and in the meantime

Happy sewing all

That's a sweet patchwork quilt! I love your idea to take your cutting mat and tools outside - I would enjoy doing that, too. Pretty Autumn leaves, too!

Love the autumn tree - so few around Brisbane really.

Plenty of red to satisfy RSC...funny how some weeks things are on every day then the next - nothing!

Beautiful autumn colors on those trees. You did a great job with red and I love that you moved the cutting mat outside for some fresh air. Enjoy your week.

You did get quite a bit done. This week won’t be as productive with all your gadding about. Love the colour in your tree.
