This Week in the sewing room

Has been all about finishing off the 3 bowl cosies that were on order.

Then it was onto making a start on some aprons for the Fair.  While "batch sewing" I always put on a you-tube channel to keep me company.    The one on the screen is all about pojagi.     This is an ancient  Korean textile art form of which I knew nothing about.    You can read its history here

A new book was started.    It is about different couples travelling on the Orient Expresss at the same time and their reasons for doing so.

I have been trying to get back into going for an early morning swim at least 3 days per week.   It is definitely  time to start using the indoor heated pool as the mornings are cooling down.

We have not seen the sun very often over the past few months however it was lovely sunny today so hubs and I treated ourselves to lunch at one of our favourite local restaurants where we can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and as you can see by the lack of crowds it is very COVID safe.

3 more orders come in yesterday for small crossbody bags.     These fabrics have just been pulled from the stash with matching zips as well as the lining fabric.   I always use light coloured fabric for lining my bags.    There is nothing worse than rummaging around in a bag with dark/black lining trying to find keys etc.

Sadly the pink slabs of fabric still remain slabs

And failed to be converted into bibs for this month's RSC challenge.     Hopefully I can remedy that next month and achieve converting both this month's colour and next month's colour into bibs.

Time to head off, tidy up the stash that was discarded for the bags and organise a light dinner before watching BHG.

Back soon and in the meantime

Happy sewing all

And the orders just keep coming! Look at you go.
I usually turn on HGTV to keep me company when I sew. You are learning things, and I am just being entertained.
With our recent (and current) cold, rainy weather, a heated pool sounds really good!

It will be interesting to see what colour you have to mix with the pink . . LOL

It is so nice to have a heated as well as an outdoor pool at your easy discretion. Go and enjoy!

You have really been betting cross body bag orders!
